CAMPAWAN CURTAIN FALLS has come to fame when the doors of tourism in the eastcoast of Davao Oriental opened last year. For many years, this water wonder was kept preserved and only the local residents living nearby got to enjoy its natural beauty. But with its tourism potential, the roads going to Campawan were cleared and widened giving the way for other locals in nearby towns to come and see the town’s hidden water gem.
When a number of photos of Campawan Curtain Falls broke out in social media, many have mistaken it as Tinuy-an Falls found in Surigao Del Sur because of its similarity to the later. Travel bloggers based in Davao Region tagged this as the little version of Tinuy-an Falls of Bislig, Surigao del Sur, due to its huge curtain of cascading water. The only difference between the two is its height, but both will surely capture the interest of those who love to chase waterfalls.
A short walk past the boulders will lead you to the base of the Curtain Falls. Obviously, the best thing to do is to take a dip, and soothe your weary soul through its cold rushing water! There’s no entrance fee to this spot though minimal fees are collected for groups who will use cottages that can sit up to 8 people. Read More: https://insights.looloo.com/baganga-davao-oriental/

The Curtain Falls is located in Barangay Campawan, Baganga, Davao Oriental. If you travel from Davao City to the town of Baganga, you may take the 5-hour ride through Compostela Valley road. You can also go through Mati City in a 6-hour ride.
The falls is situated near a forested area so the trek towards the location is a leisurely adventure with nature. The roads, although made open for public, are not concrete. It is quite uneasy going there since you have to get through big rocks in the river to reach the final spot. But the hike is worth it and you will get amazed by this nature’s wonder once you already see the water falls. Read More: https://mywanderstory.com/curtain-falls-campawan-davao-oriental/
