Rushing waters. Natural pool. Fresh. Inviting. While the rest of the waterfalls in the Philippines cause your jaw to drop, you only get to feast with your eyes the most of them. Here, you take part, you swim, you jump, you get carried away. There’s more. Wait til I climb up and see more. But I reserve the pictures and story til my next visit.
White dawn in Blanca Aurora falls has really nothing to do with white and dawn. It is just that Blanca Aurora Falls is blanca aurora. The description is an abstraction of what I feel, but that’s exactly what I felt the first time I was there, and the second time, and the third. It is just like a white dawn. Or the glow of a white dawn. Indescribable. Maybe more fun. Or an enigmatic union with the aquarius. Or engaging. Or soothing. Or cleansing, even. Blanca Aurora Falls is another great adventure in Samar. To get to Blanca Aurora Falls, you can catch a bus from the Calbayog bus terminal. The bus journey takes about 45 minutes and hour. If there is a lot of traffic you can ask the bus driver to stop at San Jorge in the Barangay of Erenas. Once you reach San Jorge, the Blanca Aurora Falls is about five kilometers from the national highway. Unless you have a four wheel drive there is only one other way to get to Blanca Aurora falls, that is by motorbike. Although a lot of the road is concreted, there are some sections of the road that gets a bit wet and muddy especially after rain. You can get a service of the local Habal Habal drivers. They charge P250 pesos for a return journey of two people.
The journey to the falls is a great experience just to see how the people live and transport their grocery and food home. This road is in the countryside. There’s not much traffic but every time someone passes you it will be somebody on a motorbike with their shopping bags.
I have been traveling the Philippines for a long time but this is the first time I have seen how hard some of these people live just by isolation. Once you reach the Blanca Blanca falls you will see a beautiful river with the water cascading down the rocks into a pool of water that flows on through the river. This is a very good place for swimming . There are many different areas and places to swim. It is a good place for a picnic. There are plenty of places to relax under the shade of the trees. There are plenty of shops close by so refreshment are easy to find. Read More: http://philinfotravel.blogspot.com/2012/04/philppine-waterfalls-calbayog-city.html
