Titay is home to numerous waterfalls including the aptly named Tagbilat Falls, the most popular and believed to be the grandest not only in town but even in the entire province.

Tagbilat Falls is also known as Malagandis Falls as it is situated in the interrior barangay named Malagandis. It is a two-level cascade along the river of the same name. The upper level consists of small cascades while its base is a 30-feet tall curtain-like waterfall with protruded wall that forms a cave. On first look, it resembles the curtain falls of Tinuy-an in Surigao Del Sur and Campawan in Bangaga, Davao Oriental. But unlike the two, Tagbilat Falls is raw and unspoiled. Despite having an atypical name, everything else about Tagbilat Falls is beautiful. A short 30-minute trek will take you to the waterfalls that has a wide façade with a small cave-like space in the middle. I climbed to the center of the waterfalls and I was spell bound by the water cascading like a curtain of diamonds. Swimming is also great in its basin that can reach up to five feet deep. A climb on the right side of the falls would take you to a smaller second tier with a smaller but deeper basin.  Read More:  http://ujalmocera.com/diy-itenerary-tagbilat-falls-titay/

Hope Tourism of Titay Province will improve the road going to busay 🙂   Worth the long travel! If traveling via Zamboanga City, Take a bus route to Dipolog and drop at Titay terminal. Travel time is 4 hours plus 9 Kilometers going to busy via Habal-Habal plus 20-30 mins walk before you can reach the said Falls 🙂  Read More: https://www.tripadvisor.com.ph/ShowUserReviews-g580109-d3348460-r314560675-Tagbilat_Falls-Zamboanga_City_Zamboanga_Sibugay_Province_Zamboanga_Peninsula_Min.html#
