Wild Water Rafting is one of the widely popular eco-tourism and outdoor adventures in Davao City. The site for this extreme water sport is the Davao River. The 3 1/2 hour wild water rafting starts from Barrio Tamugan in Calinan, and then ends at the lowlands. The water course features some 30 rapids of varying degrees of difficulty in the 15 kilometers of rough water portion of the Davao River. Snaking in and around the several mighty rapids of twists, bends, and turns along the river makes it more challenging and exciting to wild water rafting enthusiasts. Aside from the thrill of the rapids, one can also feast on the lush greenery of trees and undergrowth along the river banks. There are also occasional sightings of rare animals, such as the Philippine water dragon, predatory birds such as hawks, crows, and smaller ones such as the balinsasayaw – the swiftlet that makes a nest out of its saliva, a prized delicacy in many Asian countries. They are known to be Davao’s authority for river rafting and Davao River is their playground. Like me, excited participants got there earlier than the scheduled briefing. There were around 30, a quarter of which were foreigners. All faces seemed pretty thrilled.  Read More:  https://thetravelteller.com/my-first-davao-wildwater-adventure/

The Davao River winds through Davao and empties into the Davao Gulf – it doesn’t look like much when you cross the bridges that span it, but upstream, a stretch of the waterway is narrow and wild enough to provide an exciting whitewater rafting trip.

The Class 3+-rated rapids provide an hours’ worth of fun battling rapids and rocks; Davao Wildwater Adventure conducts whitewater rafting trips down the fun part of the river. For PHP 2,000 (about $46), you get a ride from the Crocodile Park to the jump-off area, the use of equipment and a raft guide, a souvenir shirt, and souvenir snaps to remember the bumpy ride by.  Read More: https://www.tripsavvy.com/nature-adventure-trave-in-davao-philippines-1629745
