Zamboanga del Sur is a province of the Philippines located in the western part of Mindanao and is in the Zamboanga Peninsula. Zamboanga del Sur is occupying the southern section of the Zamboanga Peninsula that forms the western part of the island of Mindanao. It is located within longitude 1220 54′ to 1230 40′ east and latitude 70 22′ to 80 20′ north. Mindanao is divided into six regions, one of which is the Zamboanga Peninsula (bright yellow part on the left).

Zamboanga Peninsula is assigned as Region IX of the Philippines. The region consists of three provinces (Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur, and Zamboanga Sibugay) and two autonomous urban areas (Isabela City and Zamboanga City).

Pagadian City is the capital of Zamboanga del Sur in Western Mindanano.

If you’re coming from Manila or Cebu, Cebu Pacific and PAL has direct flights to the Pagadian airport. It can also be reached from neighboring cities such as Zamboanga, Ozamiz, Iligan and Cagayan de Oro by bus. Other relatively near airports include Dipolog City in Zamboanga del Norte, and Ozamis City in Misamis Occidental. Transportation

BY AIR:

If you are coming from Manila, take a direct flight to Ozamiz, then go to Agora Bus Terminal where Rural Tours buses will take you to Pagadian City.

The best way to go to Pagadian City is fly to Cebu City and from Cebu take a Mindanao Express flight to Pagadian City .

BY SEA:

Pagadian City port is located in the central part of the city with seven shipping lines operating and serving both passengers and for cargoes. The city is also accessible from Zamboanga City and Cotabato.

BY LAND:

Take a bus from Ozamiz to Pagadian City.

Travel Time:

The time of travel is about 2hours.

From the Agora bus terminal, Rural Tours bus will unload you at the Pagadian Integrated Bus Terminal which is about 2 kms away from the city proper.

From Dipolog, it is a 10 hour drive to Pagadian via Ozamiz.
